This journey takes you deeper into untouched New Zealand forest – this experience will show you the New Zealand you came to see. Not for the faint of heart, this experience is a step up in zipline adventure level and incorporates some incredible new features that will blow you away.
Black Abyss Tour: Explore the subterranean world and discover what lives under the ground in Waitomo Caves as your experienced guides weave you through a glowworm-studded wonderland. Zipline through a gallery of glowworms and climb underground waterfalls as you test your limits on this truly unforgettable journey. Our trained guides will give you abseil training before you begin your descent underground. After you’ve discovered true adventure in Waitomo, warm up with a hot shower and some hot soup on bagels, on us.
The Logistics: The drive between Waitomo and Rotorua takes approximately 2 hours through beautiful Waikato countryside. This self-drive combo can be done in either order and spread across different days, giving you plenty of time to explore both regions at your own pace. Both tours combined take 8.5 hours. The start time you choose will be your Black Water Rafting tour so please take into consideration where you will be starting your adventure from.
